Izetbegović: Elections to be held by November at the latest, HDZ does not want a new FBiH Government

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - SDA President Bakir Izetbegović stated for FTV tonight that Local Elections should be held in October, and by November at the latest, but he thinks that HDZ BiH and SNSD are not for holding elections.

He said that the state budget should have also been completed by May 31, but it is still in the drawer of Vjekoslav Bevanda, the Minister of Finance of BiH.

"We are ready to go even partially when it comes to finances, but I fear that SNSD and HDZ will not allow it. SDA will win these elections and the ones in 2022, 2024, 2026, and so on," said Izetbegović.

Asked to comment on the claims of state prosecutor Gordana Tadić that her safety is endangered due to SDA pressure, Izetbegović said that this is not true and that her safety is not in question. .

When it comes to the coalition with SBB, Izetbegović said that the "Bosniak factor is firm" and that cooperation with Fahrudin Radončić and SBB is good.

"There were crises a few years ago, but I think we have smoothed those things over, and what keeps us together is the awareness and obligation that BiH is not doing well, that it is going through a crisis, that Bosniaks are not doing well, and that we have an obligation to cooperate for a longer period," he said.

When it comes to the coalition with HDZ, he said that it must exist whether we want it or not, because HDZ is the representative of Croats.

"There have been crises in relations between leaders and parties before, but this time it is deeper, I don't understand what the issue is, why HDZ is behaving like this. The Croatian population is decreasing in BiH and that frustrates them. If Croats as a people are dissatisfied, it will not be good. That's why the Prime Minister of the Government in KS is a Croat, to show that we are ready to help. HDZ does not allow the FBiH Government to be formed, it does not allow the appointment of the Constitutional Court, all without explanation, these are their whims and fears, and at the same time they talk about being endangered. They do not allow the distribution of IMF funds, everything is up to HDZ," emphasized Izetbegović.

He also said that he supports Prime Minister Fadil Novalić and that he stood up in his defense because he knows how much he works.
