(Patria) – The voting process for the president of the Social Democratic Party of BiH is proceeding smoothly, and polling stations that were delayed in opening will extend their working hours after 7 PM for as long as they were delayed, Mira Grgić, president of the SDP Central Election Commission, told the Patria agency.
The Central Election Commission of the SDP will announce the first turnout results at 1 PM during the first press conference.
More than 45,000 SDP members, based on the one member-one vote principle, are electing the party president today from among three candidates: Nermin Nikšić, Svetozar Pudarić, and Edin Delić.
Members can exercise their democratic right at 177 polling stations between 7 AM and 7 PM.
The first preliminary results are expected around 9 PM, when the second press conference will be held.
If no candidate wins an absolute majority of the total votes, a second round of elections will be held on June 2.
