Elections in RS: Candidacies by October 14, voting on November 23

(Patria) - The Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina (CEC BiH) announced that 6,460,000 KM has been secured for the implementation of the early elections for the President of Republika Srpska from the Serb people, which are scheduled for Sunday, November 23, 2025.

At today's session, the CEC adopted the Instructions on the deadlines for electoral activities, which will commence on September 25. Political parties and independent candidates will be able to submit applications for the certification of their participation in the elections by September 29, while the deadline for coalitions is October 7. The deadline for submitting candidacies for the President of RS expires on October 14 at 4 PM.

New voters voting from outside BiH will be able to register no later than midnight on October 14. The Instructions on deadlines will be published on the official website of the CEC.

Only after the financial resources have been secured have the conditions been created for the CEC to initiate public procurement procedures necessary for the implementation of the elections. The Procurement Plan has been adopted, which includes the rental of computer and electronic equipment, printing and distribution of election materials, transport, postal delivery, as well as rental of space for the Main Counting Center.

Early elections for the President of Republika Srpska were scheduled after the Constitutional Court of BiH annulled the results of last year's elections and ordered their repeat.
