Election of Football Governments: Fake Delegates in the Service of Football Brokers

Football elections for all levels of government are nearing completion in the cantons. The Sarajevo Canton was the first to finish the job. Then, the Tuzla, then Una-Sana, Zenica-Doboj, and Central Bosnia cantons held their Assemblies.

Everything is more or less known. The old and proven players received new mandates, with a few fresh faces here and there.

Now it's the turn of the Bosanska Podrinje Canton. On social networks, a video from the last assembly is still being retold and shared, where some fake delegates, brought in from the street and in the service of football brokers, were present.

Although they were well-prepared, their role was quickly discovered, and they face criminal charges for misrepresentation. Some other delegates are also under scrutiny. Specifically, Selver Tozo, who "represents" the coaching organization in the assembly but without the support or even official confirmation from the coaching organization. Tozo is not the only one. Certificates of representatives of the refereeing organization and some other self-proclaimed delegates are under review. And all of them fear criminal prosecution for misrepresentation. And such individuals elect the leaders of the cantonal, federal, and top-level football associations.

- The Assembly and the legality of the decisions are under scrutiny due to the main "player" Mirsa Drljević, who is also running for a federal position. The fact that Drljević is a member of the Executive Board of the Federal Association, which will oversee the elections as one of the "chosen" ones, indicates a classic conflict of interest. It would be the same as Muhamed Ramović being a candidate for mayor and simultaneously the president of the election committee – says our source.
