SNSD requests dismissal of NA RS Vice-President Mirsad Duratović

(Patria) - The SNSD parliamentary group today submitted a proposal to the Speaker of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska (NA RS), Nenad Stevandić, for the dismissal of the entity parliament's Vice-President Mirsad Duratović (SDP).

The SNSD has nominated Nina Bukejlović as a candidate for the Vice-President of the NA RS from among the Bosniak people. She is the ex-wife of Miloš Bukejlović, the former Minister of Justice. Incidentally, her mother, Aida Prešić, is a delegate in the Council of Peoples of Republika Srpska.

The SDP BiH issued a statement today regarding this matter, stating that they fully support Duratović "following the expected initiative by SNSD for his dismissal".

"We fully support the deputies of SDP BiH in the NA RS, who represent the voice of protection of the interests of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the rule of law, and the equal rights of all citizens of the Republika Srpska entity. It is clear to us that this is why SDP BiH represents a 'bone in the throat' for SNSD and their partners.

When it comes to SDP deputies, it is evident that they are even more bothered by our multi-ethnic team in the NA RS, which is united in promoting Bosnian-Herzegovinian unity and fighting for the justice and rights of every citizen," the SDP BiH stated.

They added that they are "proud of the work of the SDP BiH parliamentary group and Mirsad Duratović, of their uncompromising fight for respect for state institutions and regulations, as well as their discussions and voting in the NA RS against all anti-state initiatives".

"Any dismissal of Duratović can only be further confirmation of the correctness of his work and the policies he represents," the SDP stated in their announcement.

The SNSD parliamentary group cites as a reason for Duratović's dismissal that the SDP, at a session of the party's Presidency held on September 11, condemned the unconstitutional and illegal activities carried out by the institutions of Republika Srpska, which, in their opinion, are aimed at undermining the constitutional order of BiH and causing complete legal uncertainty.

"In their statement, they declare the authorities of Republika Srpska as rogue, and they welcome the decisions of the Constitutional Court of BiH and the Court of BiH. Furthermore, they consider the Government of Republika Srpska, headed by 'Minister Minić' (because he was proposed by a supposedly unconstitutional proposer), to be illegal, although no BiH body or institution has yet taken a stance on this.

We also remind the public that the Government of the Federation of BiH, headed by the president of SDP BiH, Nermin Nikšić, was formed in a way that an unnamed foreigner, former German Minister of Agriculture Christian Schmidt, suspended the Constitution of this entity for 24 hours, thereby violating the Constitution of BiH and the Constitution of the Federation of BiH, and the will of the Bosniak people, which is reflected through the majority in the Bosniak caucus in the House of Peoples in the election of the Vice-President of the Federation of BiH, Refik Lendo," the statement from the SNSD parliamentary group added.
