
(Patria) – In the last 24 hours, Italy recorded 525 new deaths, which is the lowest average in the last 14 days.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, Italy has lost more than 15,800 of its residents, more than any other country in the world.
Local official sources suggest that the country has likely now passed the peak of the epidemic, confirming the effectiveness of social distancing and isolation.
However, the health minister warns of a still 'dramatic' situation and that 'difficult months' lie ahead.
Italian authorities believe that movement restrictions have saved thousands of lives.
