395,300 KM Paid for School Textbooks and Supplies for 1,523 Students – Children of Defenders from Zenica-Doboj Canton

(Patria) - The Ministry for Veterans' Affairs of Zenica-Doboj Canton has successfully completed the procedure following the public call for financial aid for the purchase of school textbooks and supplies for the children of defenders in the school year
2025/2026, and today disbursed the funds to the beneficiaries.

The Government of Zenica-Doboj Canton has allocated funds in the amount of 395,300 KM for this purpose, enabling the provision of financial aid to 1,523 primary and secondary school students – children of defenders from the Zenica-Doboj Canton.

Minister for Veterans' Affairs Adnan Sirovica reminded that all applicants who met the conditions stipulated by the call and the valid Decree regulating this area received assistance.

- The funds were disbursed in the amount of 200 KM for primary school students and
300 KM for secondary school students, stated Minister Sirovica.

A total of 616 primary school students and 907 secondary school students received assistance.

Number of beneficiaries and distribution of funds by local communities: Zenica – 272 children (70,500 KM), Visoko – 262 children (68,400 KM), Zavidovići – 246 children (63,200 KM), Olovo – 146 children (38,200 KM), Žepče – 137 children (34,500 KM), Maglaj – 123 children (30,900 KM), Kakanj – 105 children (28,700 KM), Tešanj – 77 children (20,100 KM), Vareš – 48 children (12,500 KM), Breza – 45 children (11,800 KM), Usora – 33 children (8,900 KM) and Doboj Jug – 29 children (7,600 KM).
