Isović: Some members of the Government wanted me out of the Tax Administration

(Patria) - The Tax Administration is one of the most important institutions in any country. Its stability should bring stability to the country. In recent days, we have witnessed how the director of this institution, Šerif Isović, is being criticized in some media.

Regarding why he is on the front pages of some media and what is happening around the election for the new director of the tax institution, the dismissed director of the Tax Administration, Šerif Isović, spoke last night on the show 'Istraga sedmice' (Investigation of the Week) on Hayat Television.

- I am a civil servant and currently do not meet the conditions for retirement. I will meet them in 2027. Those reports that I am a pensioner are lies. This is a fabricated process and a form of pressure on me. I am obviously a hindrance in the Tax Administration because I could be a good witness against some taxpayers.

If you can obtain the consent of the taxpayer who is filling their headlines with me, I am ready to go public with it. My status in the Tax Administration is indefinite because, contrary to the law, I received a decision appointing me as a tax inspector - says Isović.

He points out that his appointment as an inspector was illegal, briefly explaining that he received that decision. He added that some members of the Government were in favor of him being removed from the Tax Administration.

- The Tax Administration is currently managed by the deputy. There are sub-legal acts that state that in case of non-election, the deputy performs the function of director. What is stronger, the decision or the authority?!

I want to comment only on my status because my decision appointing me as an inspector is illegal. Some members of the Government, like Mijatović, were in favor of me being removed from the Tax Administration.

I have not received any decision and have therefore approached the Court. When they found themselves in an independent situation, they issued that decision instead of me getting a position below the director - says Isović.

Muhamed Hasanović, the Deputy Minister of Finance, also applied for the competition announced for the director of the Tax Administration. Although he was the "favorite" of the ruling parties, Hasanović did not pass the first stage, i.e., the written part of the exam.

Isović says he filed a complaint about the composition of the Election Commission, which was accepted after he withdrew that complaint.

- Obviously, some strange things are happening around this competition. I also applied for some strategic reasons with the intention of not taking the exam. There is no money now for which I would be a director, given the pressure I have witnessed.

Seeing who was on the Election Commission, I filed a complaint. Later, I sent an email stating that I was withdrawing my complaint. I don't know why they accepted the complaint I withdrew.

It would be very good if SIPA or OSA (Security Intelligence Agency or Intelligence-Security Agency) intervened and checked the correspondence on some mobile phones to see what all happened. I am interested in the Tax Administration as an institution. Whether someone helped someone in this competition, the competition should be annulled for that reason, and here they are going for a re-examination.

It is obvious that they are trying to keep those who applied for the competition in the running. I don't know who all applied for the competition, nor am I interested. If my case is taken into account, then the exam is simply repeated. If public pressure is applied, it can be resolved in 5-6 days - adds Isović.
