Ismail Zulfić ninth in the world

(Patria) - With ninth place in the 50-meter butterfly discipline, achieved today by Ismail Zulfić, the debut performance of the Bosnia and Herzegovina para-swimming national team at the World Senior Championships in Manchester has concluded.

The competitor from the SPID Swimming Club from Sarajevo finished the 50-meter butterfly race with a time of 45.95.

The Bosnian colors at the gathering of the world's best para-swimmers were represented by his club colleague Ismail Barlov, who previously finished fourth in the 50-meter breaststroke, and completed the 150-meter medley race in seventh place, achieving the A standard for participation in the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games.

- The first and historic participation of our national team at a World Championship has concluded, and it exceeded our expectations. These are boys who are only 12 years old.

Barlov was also close to a medal, and everything achieved shows that we are on the right track - said the coach of the BiH para-swimming national team, Amel Kapo.
