Ismail Barlov in the final of the World Championships in Manchester

(Patria) - Bosnia and Herzegovina representative Ismail Barlov has qualified for the final of the World Senior Para-swimming Championships taking place in Manchester.

The competitor from the SPID Swimming Club from Sarajevo achieved a time of 1:07.84 in the 50-meter breaststroke event in the SB2 class.

At just 12 years old, Barlov managed to achieve the A standard for participation in the World Senior Championships.

"For the first time in our country's history, our flag is flying at the World Para-swimming Championships," wrote the coach of the BiH national team and head of the professional staff of PK SPID, Amel Kapo.

The final race in the 50-meter breaststroke event is scheduled for today at 5 PM.

Ismail Barlov will have another opportunity for a good result tomorrow when he competes in the 150-meter medley event.

Ismail Zulfić is also representing BiH in Manchester and will compete in the 50-meter butterfly event.
