Ismail Barlov fourth in the world

(Patria) - Ismail Barlov, a representative of Bosnia and Herzegovina, won fourth place at the World Senior Para Swimming Championships held in Manchester.

The competitor from the SPID Swimming Club from Sarajevo finished the final race in the 50-meter breaststroke discipline tonight with a time of 1:08.77 in the SB2 class.

First place and the gold medal were won by Mexico's representative Arnulfo Castorena with a time of 57.76. Second was Italy's Emannuele Mariglioano (1:07.06), ahead of Greece's Ioannis Kostakis (1:07.43).

At just 12 years old, Ismail Barlov managed to achieve the A standard for participation in the World Senior Championships.

Tomorrow, the BiH representative will compete in the 150m medley discipline. Ismail Zulfić will also represent BiH in Manchester, competing on Wednesday in the 50m butterfly discipline.
