ISIL advances towards Turkey

The Islamic State (ISIL) has seized new territory in northern Syria, advancing in an area where Turkey and the US plan to open a new front against the organization, in cooperation with rebels on the ground, reports the Patria news agency.

ISIL has captured several villages in the northern province of Aleppo. The strong attacks began during the night and on Thursday morning.

-ISIL fighters have almost surrounded the rebel town of Mare', about 20 kilometers from the Turkish border, said a rebel leader fighting ISIL in the area.

ISIL attacked the town with chemical weapons, stated another commander. This was also confirmed by international medical organizations.

-If the Islamic State forces continue to advance, the northern part of Aleppo could fall, warned one rebel, world media report.
