I am reading a letter from Milan Protić addressed to the Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić. He listed everything and told him straight to his face. We knew some of it, but historian and professor Protić knows much more and much better.
We know best that Vučić is a great threat to peace in the Balkans. He is especially a threat to Bosnia. And we know that he said that for one Serb, they will kill a hundred Muslims. So, that is enough for us.
Then I read on the same portal below this text under the heading “These three influential Croats rule the country”.
The next headline on this portal about the situation in our country is “Tibre owner under scrutiny”.
And if we were to analyze the situation in these countries, including Montenegro, we would come to the conclusion that the situation is miserable and pathetic. The situation is not like this because the countries are poor, but because a disturbingly large number of citizens are poor. So how is it possible for a country to be rich, and its citizens poor? Well, it is possible.
The lowest pension is 570 KM, while the lowest salary was 619 KM. Now they have raised the salary to 1000, if they don't return it to the old amount before it is paid. And the salary of a state parliamentarian is at least 10 times the lowest pension or lowest salary.
The main problem is therefore the unfair distribution of state wealth. The ratio of the highest and lowest salaries, as well as the ratio of the lowest pension and average salary, must be brought into realistic and bearable frameworks. Some cannot have more than they need, while others are wringing their hands and tearing their hair out because they cannot even afford medicine with their income.
Injustice destroys both society and the state. Not to mention illegal wealth accumulation. Can we imagine one person extorting 250,000 KM in cash in one tender? That is why this country of ours must make revolutionary changes. I propose that an independent group of experts from various fields be formed and that:
1. A more equitable distribution of the wealth we have be carried out. This includes preparing a law to regulate the salary system (the ratio of the highest and lowest salary should not be more than 1:3)
2. Areas of special state interest with the highest salaries be determined (education, healthcare, army, and police)
3. Special departments be formed in prosecutor's offices and courts, using existing human resources, to investigate the origin of property and confiscate everything acquired illegally.
4. Criminal laws be amended to prescribe draconian penalties for the slightest abuse of position and theft of budget money.
If we do not start ensuring justice for all as soon as possible, it is to be expected that our rulers will soon face protests from students, workers, pensioners, and all other citizens.
Those in power now, and those who were before them, have convinced us and are still convincing us that they are the true revolutionaries (children of the revolution) and that they are working for the benefit of the citizens and the state.
Perhaps they are, or perhaps they think they are. And if they are “revolutionaries”, they are leading the revolution in the opposite direction and the opposite way.
Revolution occurs when citizens are exhausted to the point where they can no longer tolerate it. And that point is very close. And when revolution comes, it devours its children. In this case, the children are those who currently hold power.
