(Patria) - Iranian leaders participated today in a gathering on the occasion of Al-Quds Day in Tehran, announced Iranian state television IRIB.
Footage was released showing President Masoud Pezeškian walking in the street together with the crowd. Among the participants were also Foreign Minister Abbas Aragchi and National Security Chief Ali Larijani.
Larijani stated that "the attack on the march route shows Israel's desperation".
"Trump is not smart enough to see how the Iranian people are mature, strong, and determined. The greater the pressure the US exerts, the stronger the people's will becomes," he added. Aragchi stated that by taking to the streets, despite American-Israeli attacks, Iranians have shown "their strong will and determination".
In Iran, the tradition of participating in marches on Al-Quds Day, an annual international gathering in support of Palestinians, began after the Iranian Revolution in 1979.
