(Patria) - Iran will not approve any agreement with the United States until its rights are fully guaranteed, said Iranian parliament speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, head of the Tehran team in negotiations with Washington.
We will not approve any agreement until we are certain that the rights of the Iranian people are fully guaranteed - Ghalibaf said in a video broadcast on state television.
While the two countries appeared to be moving closer to an agreement in recent days, the New York Times reported yesterday that US President Donald Trump had toughened his proposal and sent a new version of the text to Tehran.
According to the Axios portal, Trump wants a firmer stance from Washington on several issues, including the fate of Iran's nuclear material.
