The OHR and the European Union will continue to cooperate with other partners within the international community in providing assistance to Bosnia and Herzegovina to fulfill its international obligations and implement reforms, said High Representative Valentin Inzko at a meeting with the new Head of the EU Delegation and EU Special Representative to BiH Lars-Gunnar Wigemark today in Sarajevo, reports the Patria News Agency.
The High Representative emphasized that Euro-Atlantic integration, commitment to the rule of law - including full respect for the Dayton Peace Agreement - economic reforms and the fight against corruption should be the priorities of the new authorities.
-The OHR, the European Union and other international actors, with their complementary mandates, are working on the ground to help this country establish functionality and efficiency at all levels of government,” said the High Representative.
Ambassadors Inzko and Wigemark underlined the commitment of the international community to Bosnia and Herzegovina as a sovereign and united country, and supported the much-needed and sometimes difficult changes required for this country to become a functional, stable and prosperous member of the European family, the OHR announced.
