INZ recommendation to all kindergartens and parents on tooth brushing and hand washing during the pandemic

(Patria) - The Institute for Health and Food Safety Zenica continues to produce, publish and send materials to various citizen groups, organizations, organizational levels, local communities, and companies.

This week, recommendations for employees and management of preschool institutions, as well as for children - wards of these institutions when they return to the facilities, were sent to kindergartens and other preschool institutions in the Zenica-Doboj Canton area via the official website inz.ba, mailing lists, and other information channels.

Additionally, INZ has produced five short videos on proper tooth brushing and hand washing, as well as interesting exercises that children can do with their parents at home, which will help them wash their hands and teeth more properly.

The set of videos and recommendations is available on the Institute's official website, and is also ready for download via weTransfer in the coming days. In any case, the materials are available to all those who are interested and may find them useful.

- We sincerely hope that the video materials will also be used by parents themselves, with their children during this period when physical isolation is still necessary and children are not coming to kindergartens. An example of this is the Zenica Public Institution for Preschool Education, which has a slot at 6:00 PM where it communicates daily with parents and children, and we assume other kindergartens do the same. The video materials on hand washing were predominantly recorded due to the current pandemic situation, but they can also be used in "regular" circumstances, points out doc.dr. Nino Hasanica, professional associate in the Institute's School Hygiene Service.

The video materials on proper tooth brushing were recorded as a kind of replacement for the established INZ activity carried out in all public and private preschool institutions in ZDK for the oldest kindergarten group of children.

- I hope that together we will reach every child and their parents even in this time of pandemic, emphasizes Hasanica.
