Interviews with candidates for the FTV Board of Directors postponed, new date unknown

(Patria) - Interviews with candidates for the Board of Directors of RTV Federation of BiH were postponed on September 3, and a new date for the talks has not yet been set. The interviews are handled by the Joint Working Group of the Commission for Selection and Appointments of the Parliament of the Federation of BiH.

The public was stirred by the candidate for the FTV Board, Zoran Krešić, with his views advocating for the return of the para-state entity Herceg-Bosna and the dismantling of the Federation of BiH.

The opposition in the House of Representatives of the Parliament of the Federation has been pointing out for months that the call for the FTV Board of Directors, which bypassed the Information Commission, was issued unlawfully, contrary to the Rules of Procedure...

"The Information Commission of the House of Representatives of the Parliament of the Federation of BiH did its job and sent a clear message to both the public and the Parliament, especially to the Commission for Selection and Appointments, which now holds the entire process and, for reasons known to them, prolongs, delays, and works non-transparently, as far as I can see. People, including the members who applied as candidates, are wondering what is happening. No explanation has been given for why the interviews are being postponed. Now the ball is in the court of the Commission of both houses of the FBiH Parliament, as they are the ones conducting the competition procedure and should come forward, before us and the public, with concrete names.

I can assume that the thread was tangled by the story concerning a deeply compromised candidate, whose name has been mentioned in public, and that this is the stumbling block, but I cannot say anything with certainty. That commission is not speaking out, not explaining why they postponed the interviews once and then a second time, and they are not announcing new interviews with the candidates," Sanel Kajan (DF), Chairman of the Information Commission of the House of Representatives of FBiH, tells Faktor.

We also spoke with federal representative Eldar Čomor (SDA), a member of the Commission for Selection and Appointments of the House of Representatives of FBiH.

"I don't know what is happening because I am not a member of that working body dealing with interviews and scoring. We will receive their proposals at the Commission for Selection and Appointments. I know how this will end. It will end the way HDZ demands," said Čomor.

The Commission that issued the call for the FTV Board and conducts interviews with candidates includes Aner Žuljević (SDP), Goran Opsenica (HDZ), Rasim Smajlović (NIP) from the House of Representatives of PFBiH, while from the House of Peoples of the Parliament of FBiH, there are Milan Ševo (HDZ), who is also the chairman, and Kristina Petrović (SDP).

The candidates who applied for the FTV Board of Directors are Lejla Tikveša, Mirsad Ćatić, Vahid Duraković, Danijela Gogić, Adnan Huskić, Irina Kolak Mandić, Edin Kotlo, Zoran Krešić, Željka Marković Sekulić, Medina Mujić, and Izudin Šehović.
