Initiative over heating problems in Vogošća: Government of Sarajevo Canton must activate commodity reserves

(Patria) - Citizens of Vogošća will not be hostages of the incompetence of the Government of Sarajevo Canton to systematically solve the problem of BAGS-Energotehnika. I demand that the commodity reserves of Sarajevo Canton be activated, stated in a press release by SDA representative in the Sarajevo Canton Assembly Faruk Selmanović.

Selmanović states that taking into account the upcoming drop in daily and night temperatures.

"And with full awareness of the increase in patients, as evidenced by the statistics of the Vogošća Health Center, I believe that all legal conditions for this request have been met. I remind the ruling structure that the Law on Commodity Reserves of Sarajevo Canton prescribes the manner and procedure for activating commodity reserves, in this specific case due to extraordinary circumstances and market disruptions.

Therefore, both for the health of our citizens and due to market disruptions and the inability to respond to this problem by procuring heating oil. I demand that this request be addressed without delay, otherwise I will seek its implementation through a conclusion at the next session of the Sarajevo Canton Assembly," he concludes.

We remind that residents of the Vogošća Municipality who use central heating from the company BAGS-Energotehnika are fighting for regular delivery of thermal energy. This season, which legally began on October 15, they had heating only for one day, and that after numerous pressures and meetings.
