GLAVAŠ' INITIATIVE Will the Council of Ministers reward BiH's female basketball players

(Patria) - Vlatko Glavaš, DF MP in the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliament, requested through a parliamentary initiative that the BiH Council of Ministers reward BiH's female basketball players.

"On the occasion of the great success of Bosnia and Herzegovina's female basketball players and their qualification for Eurobasket after 22 years, I propose that the competent ministry and the BiH Council of Ministers adequately valorize this success," stated Glavaš.

We remind you that the women's basketball team of Bosnia and Herzegovina recently qualified for the European Championship after 22 years! 

They did it in Orenburg at the last "bubble" tournament to qualify for Eurobasket by defeating the Swiss team, with a score of 67:62. With this victory, Bosnia and Herzegovina is going to Eurobasket for the first time since 1999, which will be played from June 17 to 27 in Spain and France.

The most effective player in our team at the time was Courtney Hurt with 30 points, while Melisa Brčaninović scored 14 points.

With this victory, our team secured second place in the group, and thanks to the triumph over Russia, we will certainly be among the top five second-placed teams from the nine groups, which earned us a place at Eurobasket.
