Information for Drivers: Are There Traffic Jams on the Roads and How Long is the Wait at the Border?

Due to repair works on expansion joints on two bridges on the A-1 highway section Podlugovi-Sarajevo sjever, traffic is (for a length of approx. 4 km) proceeding in both directions, using the right lane, reports the Patria News Agency.  

Due to repair works, traffic for vehicles over 7 tons is suspended at the northern entrance to Mostar (on the section from Zalik to the National Theatre), and the alternative route for this category of vehicles is the southern entrance to Mostar.

Short traffic jams are occurring on sections where repair works are underway and where the traffic regime has been altered. We highlight the following routes: Konjic-Jablanica-Prozor, Doboj-Gračanica, Čelinac-Kotor Varoš, Čapljina-Stolac, as well as works in Mostar (passage through the city). 

According to information gathered from the BiH Border Police, waiting times at border crossings do not exceed 20 minutes. 

Due to the start of the new school year, there is an increased number of children on the streets in certain parts of Bosnia and Herzegovina, so we call on drivers to exercise additional caution and strictly adhere to speed limits, especially near schools, it was announced from BIHAMK.
