Information on road and border crossing conditions

Favourable driving conditions and moderate vehicle traffic characterise today's traffic situation in BiH, reports the Patria news agency. 

Works are underway on the repair of expansion joints on two bridges on the A-1 motorway section Podlugovi-Sarajevo north, where traffic is moving in both directions (over a length of approx. 4 km) using the right lane. 

On the M-5 main road Transit through Sarajevo, the traffic regime has been changed due to works. Vehicles over 7.5 tonnes use the passage through the city, while vehicles up to 7.5 tonnes and buses use the alternative route on the section between Bistrik and the Vraca intersection and vice versa. Among other roads with ongoing works, we highlight the main roads: Doboj-Gračanica, Čelinac-Kotor Varoš, Brod na Drini-GP Hum/Šćepan Polje, Jablanica-Prozor, Čapljina-Stolac and Konjic-Jablanica. 

At the Doljani border crossing on the exit from BiH, waiting times range from 30 to 45 minutes, while at other border crossings delays are currently no longer than 15 to 20 minutes. 

Due to the start of the new school year, the number of children on the streets has increased in certain parts of BiH, so we call on drivers to exercise additional caution and strictly observe speed limits, especially near schools, BIHAMK announced.
