The High Representative of the international community in BiH, Valentin Incko, stated this evening at a reception at the BiH Presidency on the occasion of March 1st, Independence Day of BiH, that there is nothing controversial about him attending the marking of this date, even though a state law on holidays has not been adopted.
- The international community has always supported the marking of March 1st. Tonight, I see Serbs and Croats here, as well as representatives of embassies and the diplomatic corps – Incko said.
Responding to a statement by a reporter from the BiH news agency Patria (NAP) that many had taken issue with his statement that the attack on the BiH Presidency did not have elements of a coup d'état, Incko said that the international community "has never condoned violence, hooliganism, and the burning of the BiH flag".
