New Government of Tuzla Canton Appointed, Edis Dervišagić Prime Minister

(Patria) - At an emergency session of the Assembly of Tuzla Canton (TK) today, the new parliamentary majority confirmed the appointment of the new Government of TK.

The head of the Government will be the former mayor of Gradačac, Edis Dervišagić (SDP).

The new Minister of Education and Science is Suzana Ostojić, the Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth is Idana Mahić, Samir Cipurković is the Minister of Health, and Stjepan Hlavaček is the Minister of Internal Affairs.

Senad Memić is the new Minister of Economy, Anela Ajšić remains the Minister of Spatial Planning and Environmental Protection, Nedeljko Ilić is the Minister of Justice and Administration, Eldar Čajić is the Minister of Trade, Tourism and Transport, Mensur Kurtić is the Minister for Veterans' Affairs, and Nedžad Uzejrović is the Minister of Agriculture and Water Management.

The Minister of Finance and the Minister of Labour, Social Policy and Return will be appointed later, and until then, their duties will be performed by the ministry secretary.

Dervišagić's exposé touched upon issues of economic development, security, social protection, and support for youth. The work will be based on responsibility and transparency, and work will be done on initiated and new projects.

- Key activities will be the economic development of the economy, resolving youth issues, as well as the development of rural areas and culturally improving the image of this canton - Dervišagić stated.
