Today we celebrate the Fifth Corps of the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina – that 'heavenly force' was formed on October 21, 1992, and we have something to celebrate, because at one point the Fifth Corps, surrounded, simultaneously fought on three connected enemy fronts. And it won, honorably and gallantly. That is why the day of its formation is one of the darkest days for the enemies of Bosnia, and Krajina in particular.
And the media today glorify the Corps that defended the people of Bosnian Krajina. The problem is that interest will cease on this day – and therein lies all the hypocrisy of the here-and-now caretakers and know-it-alls, while essentially no one considers the significance of the Fifth Corps or the battles of its commanders and fighters today.
In the sea of texts about the founding of the Fifth Corps, you will not find any that mention that a trial against 24 members of the Fifth Corps is currently underway in the first instance at the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, a second instance against 9, while five are already serving their sentences.
Do we know about the suicides of those honorable soldiers of the Fifth Corps who, under the pressure of SIPA inspectors, could not endure it, and took their own lives – because they had two options – either testify against their comrades or be accused!
We don't know, because we are not interested.
So, 38 members are continuing their fight in the courtroom based on the indictments of the BiH Prosecutor's Office. Far from the media, far from the public, because these trials are not of interest to the media, unlike, for example, the case of Milorad Dodik, whose trial is followed minute by minute.
And do you know why Atif Dudaković is not talking about the Fifth Corps today? Because we hypocritically celebrated his successes, and then allowed enemies to drive him to the defendant's bench. Because the BiH Court banned him from contacting the media!? The same court that allows Dodik to insult everyone in that institution, including Judge Sena Uzunović.
And when he finally dared to say something about the battle we are celebrating today, the BiH Prosecutor's Office immediately requested his detention!? Many do not know this, because they are not interested in the fate of those who are deserving today because we live in an independent Bosnia and Herzegovina, while their freedom and lives are being played with, mostly in fabricated indictments.
In the end, Dudaković, like other accused persons, is in the country and under restrictive measures. They live as if in a cage, while Milomir Savčić walks freely in Serbia?
And Savčić, during his time at liberty as the president of the Veterans' Organization of Republika Srpska, was a guest on RTRS almost daily and talked about Dudaković, while Dudaković is not allowed to speak out. But the accused Savčić had no obstacles to expressing his views through the public service.
We remind you that the president of the Veterans' Organization of RS, Milomir Savčić, was at the Court of BiH for a hearing to determine detention. Only a few hours later, the suspect for genocide in Srebrenica was no longer available to the institutions of our country. Logistical support must have been provided for his escape, and he certainly had it, with the alleged involvement of the top leadership of Republika Srpska and Serbia.
It is interesting that Milorad Dodik, when asked about Savčić, diverts the topic to Dudaković!?
Dodik, who is followed by cameras of public services and private media, while accused members of the Army of RBiH and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of RBiH enter through side entrances of a building where justice has long since ceased to reside.
Therefore, we must stop the hypocrisy and look in the mirror. We have left our heroes to the mercy of those who are carrying out historical revisionism, while we seek clicks by following Dodik.
Those who forget or rewrite their own past are destined to be mocked by the future, everyone forgets that.
The cases of 'Dudaković and others', 'Čemerno', 'Dobrovoljačka', 'Jošanica' are four cases before the Court of BiH in which alleged war crimes of members of the Army of RBiH and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of RBiH are being prosecuted, and cases that will, and someone will live to see it, be studied by lawyers worldwide as an example of fabricated indictments with a strong political undertone, which include the highest officials from civilian, police, to military personnel who defended and protected Bosnia and Herzegovina.
And precisely these four cases (none of which were on the A list at The Hague) are not coincidentally the subject of interest, because the leadership of Republika Srpska and Serbia wants at all costs to equate those responsible for the past aggression, and they need precisely these four cases to wave papers at us saying we were all the same. With the four cases, they have covered the entire Bosnia territorially, they are being tried for a joint criminal enterprise, and then they are rushing with verdicts, because their witnesses are increasingly falling and are not credible when confronted with defenses.
But it is devastating that all this is happening far from the public eye, because cameras and spotlights are reserved for others.
The only ones worse than the leadership of RS, and also Serbia, who insist on these cases where executioners testify and are not held accountable for their misdeeds, are the members of pro-Bosnian political forces, who still cannot put two and two together and understand (precisely from these four cases) what revisionism is happening to us.
They can look at Croatia for how it should be done. We remember how the state of Croatia stood in defense of its officers (Serbia accused them) and they formed a legal team at the state level to assist the accused, as well as financial resources for their defense. That is, in a word, a STATE.
At the same time, the state for which the members of the Fifth Corps, whom we glorify today and will forget tomorrow, fought for, as well as the fate of nearly 40 of them who are proving their innocence, is a completely opposite example. Because while Croatia protects its defenders and commanders, BiH calmly watches its heroes in the dock.
