Agreements Signed: Ilidža to Get Two Roundabouts

(Patria) - Two agreements were signed today at the Sarajevo Canton building, which entail the reconstruction of existing roads into roundabouts in the municipality of Ilidža.

The agreements on jointly initiating public procurement procedures for the implementation of two significant infrastructure projects were signed by the Director of the Sarajevo Canton Roads Directorate, Selmir Kovač, and the Mayor of Ilidža, Nermin Muzur, in the presence of the Sarajevo Canton Minister of Transport, Adnan Šteta.

The reconstruction of the road, construction of a roundabout, and construction of pedestrian paths in Bojnička Street are planned, as well as the reconstruction of the existing intersection into a roundabout at the junction of Željeznička Street and Emir Bogunić Čarli Street.

The total value of these two projects is 1,780,000 KM, and the funds will be jointly provided by the Sarajevo Canton Roads Directorate and the Municipality of Ilidža through their 2026 budgets.

Minister Šteta emphasized that road infrastructure projects have significantly changed the image of Ilidža in recent years.

- It is a pleasure that we will realize a large number of projects in the municipality this year as well, and today we signed two agreements that will enable faster, safer, and better traffic flow.

We continue to invest in Ilidža and, through good cooperation with the Municipality, implement projects that are important for the citizens, everyday life, and the development of this part of Sarajevo Canton - Šteta stated.
