Kolding player Emma Veletanlić strengthens the Dragons

(Patria) - Defensive player of the Danish club Kolding IF Emma Veletanlić has received her first call-up to play for our national team.

The twenty-year-old player talks about her first impressions in the "A" team and her career, and emphasizes that it is a great honor for her to be called up to the national team.

- Although I was born and raised in Denmark, I have always harbored special emotions towards Bosnia and Herzegovina, as the country of origin of my parents and which is part of my identity.

It is a great honor and pleasure to receive a call-up for the women's "A" national team, and I would like to thank the coach for the invitation and the opportunity to perform on the international stage. My goal is to try to contribute to better results for our team.

I am just getting to know my teammates, but I am immensely looking forward to new acquaintances and the opportunity to defend the colors of women's BiH football together.

This is a team that has been progressing a lot in the last few years, and I believe I can learn a lot through working with the national team, but also pass on my own experiences to others - said Veletanlić.

She then touched upon her own career, revealing that she has been playing for Kolding IF for four seasons.

- We compete in the top tier of women's football in Denmark, and it is a very high-quality league. When we talk about ambitions, in my career, I want to improve as a footballer every day.

Also, I want to test myself on the international stage at the club level and gain international experience, which is certainly one of the prerequisites for a successful career - she added.

The new national team player also has a message for the fans:

"I invite the loyal fans to support us, both in the upcoming two matches of the UEFA Women's Nations League and in the future, and we will repay them with commitment and attitude on the field."
