Igokea Knocked Out in Skenderija: Bosna Meridianbet in the 'Mirza Delibašić' Cup Final

(Patria) - The second semi-final of the "Mirza Delibašić" Cup was played in the packed small hall of Skenderija, featuring hosts KK Bosna Meridianbet and Igokea. In the end, Bosna won the match 86:69 and deservedly advanced to the final to face the favoured Igokea.

Bosna started the game brilliantly. They were phenomenal in the first quarter, which they won 26:16.

The Students maintained a double-digit lead until the end of the second quarter when Igokea made a mini-run, and the teams went into halftime with Bosna leading 41:37.

The third quarter saw another excellent performance from the Sarajevo team. Great defence and very calm attacks brought Bosna back to a double-digit lead.

At the start of the final quarter, the hosts capitalised on Igokea's mistakes, and with eight minutes left, the score was 63:51 for KK Bosna Meridianbet. After that, Bosna extended their lead to 17 points (68:51), and the game was decided. Bosna even had a 24-point lead in the final quarter.

By the end of the game, the final and significant score was 86:69 for the Students.

For Bosna, Vojin Ilić was outstanding with 19 points and five rebounds, Haris Ćurevac scored 14 points, while Dontay Caruthers posted 13 points, and Milivoje Božović finished the game with 12 points.

For Igokea, Nikola Marić scored 18 points and added six rebounds, while Edin Atić scored nine points and added four assists.
