IGK: Shameful move by the Faculty of Philosophy of SUM, remove the poster and apologize!

(Patria) - The Institute for Genocide Research Canada has reacted to the published poster of the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Mostar for the first summer school on the methodology of political sciences, which is organized together with IPSA (International Political Science Association) in July.

On the poster that should represent an invitation for the "Summer School 2024" (July 15-20), the author "removed" the mosques of Mostar.

"More than 30 years after HVO units demolished over 80 mosques and prayer rooms, policies are in place that encourage even academic institutions to once again 'erase mosques'. With its anti-civilizational act, the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Mostar has caused the greatest damage to its own reputation. It can no longer be spoken of as a respectable scientific institution, but rather as an institution engaged in daily anti-Mostar, anti-Bosnian, and anti-European politics in the name of the division of the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Mostar has effectively aligned itself with an anti-Bosnian coalition with the aim of removing the Old Bridge from the historical, cultural, and civilizational context in which it was created and has existed for centuries. The promotional poster is an attack on the Old Bridge, which is on the UNESCO list, an attack on the city of Mostar, and an attack on Bosnia and Herzegovina.

This poster is just one in a series of proofs of the continuity of the adjudicated joint criminal enterprise. It is a radically inhumane and utterly vile concept aimed at dehumanizing primarily Bosniaks in the name of the division of the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

We demand that the leaders of the aforementioned academic institution remove the poster and apologize to the citizens of Mostar and Bosnia and Herzegovina. We demand the same from the Mayor of Mostar.

We call on all friends of truth and justice, all fighters for the protection of human rights and freedoms, to take action against this inhumane act in order to successfully suppress all forms of discrimination and oppression, to show the world that the criminal has no chance.

We stand for human rights and human dignity by fighting against those who attempt to revive judicially convicted leaders and perpetrators of the joint criminal enterprise.

And finally, your attempt to nullify the multiculturalism of the historic core of the great city of Mostar has failed, telling the world public about you as bearers of anti-Mostar and anti-Bosnian values," the IGK Canada stated.
