IGK asks Nermin Nikšić: Why didn't you declare July 20th a Day of Mourning in FBiH?

(Patria) - The Institute for Research of Genocide Canada (IGK) has publicly asked the Mayor of Prijedor, the Prime Minister of FBiH, and the prime ministers of cantons with Bosniak majorities - why they did not declare July 20th a Day of Mourning this year either?

"The Mayor of Prijedor has refused the IGK's request for the tenth time to declare July 20th a Day of Mourning for the victims of the unadjudicated genocide in Prijedor in the period 1992-1995.

The IGK initiative to declare July 20th a Day of Mourning in Prijedor has been ongoing since 2014, when 284 civilian war victims, exhumed mostly from the Tomašica mass grave, were buried on that day.

The day before the commemoration of the martyrs for the victims of the unadjudicated genocide in Prijedor, only the Una-Sana Canton made a decision to declare July 20th a Day of Mourning.

IGK publicly asks the current Prime Minister of FBiH, Nermin Nikšić, and all prime ministers before him since 2014 - why have you not made a decision for July 20th to be a Day of Mourning in this entity?

IGK publicly asks the prime ministers of cantons where Bosniaks are the majority population - why are you not making a decision on a Day of Mourning for July 20th?

Shame on you. How much do the memorization, culture of remembrance, and culture of memory of the victims of the unadjudicated genocide in Prijedor truly affect you.

Gentlemen prime ministers in FBiH and the mentioned cantons - do you even feel the tears of Prijedor mothers, daughters, sisters, sons? Does the terrible drama of Prijedor Bosniaks and Croats not move you?

The unadjudicated genocide in Prijedor is a difficult testament to the immorality of Serb criminals and the hypocrisy of the international community.

The victims of Prijedor demonstrate the clear genocidal intent of the criminals, which genocide science has proven as unadjudicated genocide, but unfortunately, international courts have not.

The defectiveness of the "Greater Serbia" idea, which persists to this day, is a danger and an evil in the region due to its Greater Serbian, extremely nationalist ideology, and therefore we must approach it very seriously and responsibly," stated IGK.
