Ibraković Resigns, Ješić Officially Presented to the Public

Former coach of Sloboda, Velež, and Čelik, Abdulah Ibraković, today resigned from the position of sports director of FK Sarajevo, the current champion of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Abdulah Ibraković was appointed as the sports director of FK Sarajevo on August 26, 2013, and had his first working day at the Bordo club on September 1, reports sportsport.ba, as conveyed by the BiH news agency Patria.

Miodrag Ješić was officially presented as the new coach of FK Sarajevo at a press conference today, and according to the contract, he will be there until the end of 2017. He will debut on the Sarajevo bench next weekend when Sarajevo will play a league match against Vitez at the Olympic Stadium "Asim Ferhatović-Hase".

Miodrag Ješić stated that the ambitions of the Club and his personal ambitions have aligned.

- Thank you for coming in such numbers. Thank you for such kind words, I just have to repeat and emphasize that some writings are indeed untrue. Our ambitions have aligned, I came to a club that is organized and a club that wants to progress even further, and that's why I am here with you. We terminated the contract and we succeeded, and here we are together now. Sarajevo is a city where I have many friends, I haven't contacted anyone because then the press conference wouldn't make sense. It is important that our sporting ambitions have aligned, and that is the most important thing, and I think Sarajevo can progress and has quality. I believe in my professional staff and that we will achieve good results. I want us to achieve a good result today and to win and advance further in the Cup. I am glad to be among you - said Ješić.

- Of course, I will lead the team against Vitez. It is important to me that Sarajevo achieves an excellent result today, and we will comment on the derby after Vitez. We always play one game at a time, the most important one is today, and then we will talk about Vitez. I will get acquainted with the players, I will say a few words to them, and it doesn't make sense to impose myself today. I will wish them a good game and result, and that will serve us to assess some things. I have followed Sarajevo before and I am familiar with everything. I follow the league in the region in general. I have coached clubs in Bulgaria, Serbia, and we follow all clubs, of course, I have been watching more regularly lately. I am quite familiar and satisfied with the quality of the players - Ješić added.

- I know what kind of club I am coming to, and I have been to Sarajevo many times. I know what kind of club it is and what kind of fans it has. I take the title for granted. You have to win either one or the other to take a step further in Europe. That's what decided me to leave the team I was coaching. My assistants are Srđan Tekijaški and Bojan Stamaković. My work at FK Sarajevo will begin on Friday in the way I think it should be, and we will try to make our fans happy in the fight for the title - Ješić concluded.

In his coaching career so far, Miodrag Ješić has coached a large number of clubs, including OFK Beograd, Radnički Niš, Partizan, Slavija, and CSKA Sofia, Litex Lovech, Budućnost Podgorica, and his last club was Yangon United from Myanmar, with whom he won the national championship title.
