Ibišević bids farewell to the national team: I will be the biggest fan

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Vedad Ibišević today publicly bid farewell to the senior national team. He announced his farewell after failing to qualify for the World Cup in Russia.

- I decided that if we didn't qualify for the World Cup in Russia, I would bid farewell to the national team jersey. In the period from the last match until today, I thought a lot and made the decision to step down - said Vedad.

He said he was glad to have worn the national team jersey for ten years.

- There were good and bad moments, but there were many more good ones. I think I am at an age where this is the best solution. I will be the biggest fan of this national team and I wish Bosnia and Herzegovina a lot of luck.

Ibišević scored 28 goals in 82 appearances for the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team.
