Ibišević: A tough match awaits us, but we will try to get the job done

We are used to Vedad Ibišević scoring goals, so these expectations are completely justified when it comes to the second leg of the play-off for qualification to the European Championship, which our team plays tomorrow in Dublin against the Republic of Ireland. In the first match, Vedo did not score, but as he said, this could be a similar match to the historic one in Lithuania, where Ibišević was the scorer, it was announced on the official website of the Football Association of Bosnia and Herzegovina, reports the BH News Agency Patria.

Ibišević said that the emotions and impressions have settled after the match in Zenica.

- Not much has changed, we still have 90 minutes of fighting left, and in fact, we know each other a little better, they know us and we know them. I think a tough match awaits us, and we don't have time to analyze each of our games separately. We saw where we made mistakes and we will try to correct them, but we also know what our good points were - says Vedo.

When asked if the chances are 50:50 or perhaps the Irish have a slight advantage, Ibišević said that perhaps the Irish only have a psychological advantage because they scored an away goal.

- However, that can also be a burden for them, and they might not know what kind of tactics to choose. We players must not worry about that; when we step onto the field, everything changes, and what matters is what happens on the field and that we do everything we agreed upon. That is the most important thing - says Ibišević.

How is Vedad Ibišević preparing for this match?

- As always, I have my own way. This match is special, and the most important thing is to rest well and prepare mentally "in my head" for a tough fight. I certainly prepared differently for Portugal than now, and that's normal because those of us who already have experience in these matches perceive it differently than players without that experience.

According to some estimates, between 2,500 and 3,000 of our fans could support our national team at the Aviva Stadium tomorrow.

- We are practically used to having our fans wherever we play. Their support means a lot to us, and we will be glad that they are there. However, the most important thing is that we do the job on the field, make them happy, and then all of us - concluded Ibišević.
