Both Tirana and Marakana: Humanitarian exhibition match of first BiH national team players on Friday

The marking of the event "Both Tirana and Marakana" will begin with an exhibition match featuring players who wore the jersey of the BiH national team in its first official matches. The match will be played in the „Ramiz Salčin“ hall in Mojmilo on Friday, December 16 at 6:00 PM, Patria reports.

Players who played for the  „A“ team of BiH in the period from 1995 to 1996, when matches were played against Albania and Brazil, have confirmed their attendance at the event. Mehmed Baždarević, Samir Šabanović, Bakir Beširević, Nudžein Geca, Muhamed Konjić, Vlatko Glavaš, Mirza Varešanović, Elvir Bolić, Nermin Šabić, Vedin Musić, Almir Turković, Amir Osmanović, Senad Brkić, Sead Osmić, Senad Repuh, Said Fazlagić, Esmir Džafić, and the arrival of other footballers from that generation is expected, as well as all those who helped create the BiH national team. Many of them remain active in the sports life of BiH, and Baždarević is today the coach of the BiH national football team. 

This event, in addition to recalling the international beginnings of the BiH national football team, also has a humanitarian character, as the proceeds from ticket sales (5 KM) are intended for the Institute for Special Education and Upbringing of Children „Mjedenica“ Sarajevo.

A special guest will be the former coach of the national team, Blaž Slišković, who was not a participant in these matches but certainly contributed to the creation of the BiH national team.

All football fans are welcome to the exhibition match, where they will once again have the opportunity to see the players who paved the way for the successes of the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team.
