This year again, EDZUP's Memorial Pigeon Flight from Srebrenica to Sarajevo

(Patria) - The Ecological Society for Breeding and Protection of Small Animals (EDZUP) Sarajevo will mark the 28th anniversary of the genocide in Srebrenica with a memorial pigeon flight this year as well.

EDZUP has been participating in marking the sad anniversaries of the genocide in Srebrenica in this way since 2007.

“This year too, as part of marking the 28th sad anniversary of the most brutal execution and murder of 8,372 residents of Srebrenica and surrounding areas, this society has organized a memorial flight of carrier pigeons Srebrenica – Sarajevo,” EDZUP stated.

Thus, tomorrow, Monday, July 10, 2023, at 10:00 AM, over 350 carrier pigeons will be released for the memorial flight from Srebrenica to Sarajevo from Potočari.

“Our members empathize with all survivors and sincerely mourn the innocent victims from Srebrenica, which is why they feel the need to, in their own way, which has a special symbolism, give significance to this sad event, and pay respect and honor to all victims of the genocide in our Srebrenica,” emphasized this ecological society.
