Sarajevo footballers also supported Alves

Sarajevo footballers have joined the growing support for Barcelona footballer Dani Alves, at whom a banana was thrown during the Villarreal - Barcelona match. We remind you that the video showing Alves picking up and eating the banana went viral, and some BiH national team footballers also posed with bananas to support Alves and say "no to racism", writes the Patria News Agency (NAP).

The FK Sarajevo team has also joined this, posting a photo of Sarajevo footballers from the locker room on their official page. In it, the 'bordo' (burgundy) lads pose with a banana and send the message "stop racism".

Incidentally, the police arrested 26-year-old David Campayo Lleo, who the media claim worked as a coach in Villarreal's youth categories. The club has banned the fan, who faces a prison sentence of up to three years, from El Madrigal for life, but has neither confirmed nor denied that Campayo worked for Villarreal.
