World Autism Awareness Day is being celebrated worldwide today, and Edin Džeko, captain of the BiH national team and UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador, has also shown his support, writes the Patria news agency.
Džeko posted a photo on social media holding a message "we shine blue for all with autism".
According to epidemiological research, 4-5 children with autism are born per 10,000 newborns. When it comes to autistic spectrum disorders, we are talking about 10-15 children per 10,000 newborns. According to some unofficial data, nearly 20,000 children in BiH suffer from autism.
