Power supply still difficult in Tuzla Canton

(Patria) - Due to failures in the networks and facilities of Elektroprijenos BiH, a significant number of customers in Srebrenik, Lukavac, Čelić, Gračanica and Sapna, as well as other cities and municipalities in the Tuzla Canton area, are still without power.

Thanks to the repair of failures on the 110 kV transmission lines of Elektroprijenos BiH in the areas of Tešanj, Zavidovići and Maglaj, conditions have been created for work on the distribution facilities of Elektroprivreda BiH in the Zenica-Doboj Canton and the provision of gradual power supply.

Electrical installation teams are working intensively to eliminate failures in the medium-voltage network.

Compared to the previous day, the situation with the electricity supply in other areas under the jurisdiction of Elektroprivreda BiH is gradually stabilizing, especially in the Una-Sana and Central Bosnia Cantons.

The Distribution System Operator (ODS) of Elektroprivreda BiH is only one segment of the BiH electricity system, which practically means that in its operations it depends on the operational readiness of others, such as Elektroprijenos BiH, but also the Mixed Holding Elektroprivreda RS and JP Komunalno Brčko in places where the distribution networks are connected.

This dependence has been confirmed in the current events with power outages for users of the distribution network. The majority of them were or still are without voltage due to failures in the high-voltage network of Elektroprijenos BiH, and partly due to failures in the distribution networks in areas under the jurisdiction of Elektroprivreda RS and under the jurisdiction of distribution in the Brčko District.
