Still no concrete evidence on the presence of Russian and Moldovan citizens in Bosnia and Herzegovina

(Patria) - According to the findings of the Moldovan intelligence service, there are indications of the presence of Russian and Moldovan citizens in BiH and cooperation with BiH citizens. The investigation will show whether there is evidence as well, writes Federalna.ba.

Regarding what is being done about it, the head of the Intelligence-Security Agency (OSA) of BiH, Almir Džuvo, informed the members of the Joint Commission for Oversight of the Work of OSA.

Findings and indications of the presence and training of Russian and Moldovan citizens in BiH, more precisely in the RS, exist. No concrete evidence is being made public.

Behind closed doors of the Commission for Oversight of the Work of OSA, Federalna TV learns, discussions were held about records of entries of Russian and Moldovan citizens into BiH, as well as satellite images of suspicious locations in the RS.

Details are unavailable during the investigation phase. The Commission members were informed of the indications by its head, Ilija Cvitanović.

- I believe we will have more information very soon - I do not want to put this in a political context because it will disturb the public and we will go in the wrong direction - said Cvitanović.

The Deputy Chairman of the Joint Commission, Albin Muslić, points out that it is very difficult to talk about this because they have no concrete evidence.

- An investigation is underway to examine the relevant indications, only after that can we come out more concretely to the public with certain information regarding the camps or training centers, as they are called - stated Muslić.

According to unofficial information, a photograph of a location near Banja Luka based on satellite images was presented, which could be a training site for foreign nationals in cooperation with locals.

We remind you, state ministers have previously spoken about the disputed trainings in BiH. Some have even linked them to the politics of the RS.

- I did not want to go public, I spoke with the director of OSA BiH and we agreed that I would not go public, that they would work on the case, and all I can say is that it is true - there is such activity in the RS and it is related to one of the high officials from the RS - said the Minister of Defense of BiH, Zukan Helez.

The US Embassy in BiH also pointed out the harmfulness of such reports, asking whether the RS leadership is truly committed to implementing the reforms necessary for the progress of European aspirations and European orientation. Those named deny everything.

- A camp is not a needle that can be hidden. If such a thing really existed, Moldova would surely have informed us, requested information, warned us, or sent a protest note. We have never received a single word from them - said the Minister of Security of BiH, Nenad Nešić.

It is interesting that they deny the existence of camps, although the information refers only to individuals. Whether the findings are correct will be verified by the investigation.

Incidentally, the Commission proposed a 20 percent budget increase so that OSA could respond to challenges in a timely and efficient manner.
