Husref Musemić remains FK Sarajevo coach

(Patria) - Following a final meeting held on June 12 at the Ibis Hotel in Sarajevo, negotiations for the contract extension of the head of the professional staff of Football Club Sarajevo, Husref Musemić, have been successfully concluded.

After a historic season in which the Bordo team won the double crown, Football Club Sarajevo made every effort to keep the current coach at the helm. The new contract entrusts Musemić for the next two years, which represents significant progress considering that the previous practice was to sign contracts for one year with an option for an additional year. The possibility of signing a contract for a minimum of two years resulted in the start of negotiations after the end of the season, as the consent of the new majority owner of investment rights, Mr. Nam, was required.

Following the first meeting held on May 27, 2019, all of Musemić's conditions were met. In subsequent negotiations, the only stumbling block was the clause defining severance pay in case of early contract termination. A satisfactory proposal for both parties was adopted at today's meeting.

Musemić's new club duties begin as early as Friday, June 14, when the players' roll call is scheduled at TC Butmir, and next week FK Sarajevo's first team will head for preparations in Slovenia.
