Husref Musemić new head of the professional staff of Football Club Sarajevo

The management of Football Club Sarajevo has made a decision on the appointment of the Head of the professional staff. Namely, the new coach of the "Bordo" club will be Husref Musemić, a former striker of Sarajevo, who as a player won the championship title of former Yugoslavia in the 1984/85 season, while as a coach he won the Cup with our club in the 2004/05 season, and the championship title shortly after, in 2006/07. The appointment of Musemić was also confirmed by representatives of the majority owner in the club's structures.

- We are pleased about the agreement reached with Musemić. He is an expert who knows well what it is like to work at FK Sarajevo and what the "Bordo-Bijeli" jersey entails. The club's management will provide Musemić with all the necessary time and support to realize his plan with the team. We wish Musemić a lot of luck on the Sarajevo coaching bench and believe that he is the best solution at this moment - said Alen Hujić, Head of the Board of Directors of FK Sarajevo.

Musemić did not hide his joy after the official appointment.

- Perhaps emotions are most present now, and I am glad to be here again. The most important thing is to focus on the team, which is in an evident crisis of results. We will get out of it as soon as possible, we will look for how and in what way. Even bigger teams and clubs find themselves in a crisis, and so do we. It is very important that the team does a good job tomorrow, tries to play as well as possible, and after that, there will be a break in the league, where we will get to know each other better and have room for work - said Musemić, referring to the current Sarajevo team.

- If I didn't believe in the quality of this team, I wouldn't have accepted this job. I believe that together with everyone in the club and the fans, we can achieve good results and get out of this crisis - added Musemić, who, after leaving the Sarajevo bench in 2013, successfully managed Sloboda and Mladost.

The home game against Vitez will be the first official match for Musemić in his new mandate on the Sarajevo coaching bench, and he will travel to Banja Luka tomorrow to attend the match against Borac. It is also worth adding that the complete composition of Sarajevo's professional staff will be known in the coming days.
