(Patria) - Every time I am shaken anew by the realization that among us live and work people who are ready to do anything, even to abuse or take pleasure in abusing others, said today the Minister for Human Rights and Refugees of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Sevlid Hurtić.
Hurtić says that the latest case of an employee of the Institution for Social Care, Health Care, Upbringing and Education "Pazarić" has, unfortunately, proven that sadists live among us and that as individuals, but also as a society, we must be vigilant and always ready to react adequately.
- As the relevant state minister, I have an obligation to react every time human rights are threatened, but also as a human being I have a moral obligation to call on the competent institutions to react urgently and punish those responsible for the distressing scene we had the opportunity to see in the published photos and video - says Hurtić.
He emphasizes that it is time to start effectively and adequately identifying and punishing those who are prone to violating human rights.
- Finally, the reaction of the Administration of the Institute "Pazarić" is commendable, as it is obliged to take care of the wards entrusted to them for education, upbringing and health care - added Hurtić.
