(Patria) - Minister of Human Rights and Refugees of Bosnia and Herzegovina Sevlid Hurtić attended today's commemoration of the 26th anniversary of the establishment of the Brčko District, one of the most significant administrative and institutional models in BiH.
The commemoration of this anniversary was an opportunity to recall the importance of the Brčko District as a space for common life, cooperation and equal rights for all citizens, regardless of national, religious or any other affiliation.
Hurtić emphasized that the Brčko District represents an example that dialogue, institutional responsibility and mutual respect can build a stable and functional society.
- The Brčko District is a symbol of unity and proof that differences can be the strength of our society. This governance model shows that with mutual respect, cooperation and responsible institutions, we can build a stable and prosperous Bosnia and Herzegovina.
It is our obligation to continue strengthening the rights of all citizens, developing institutions and creating an environment of equal opportunities for all - Hurtić said.
The Ministry of Human Rights and Refugees of Bosnia and Herzegovina will continue, within its competencies, to support projects and initiatives that contribute to the protection of human rights, equality and strengthening social cohesion throughout BiH.
The commemoration of 26 years of the Brčko District once again confirmed its importance as a significant administrative, economic and multi-ethnic center of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
