SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Besides taking care of law enforcement and the safety of all of us, police officers often participate in voluntary blood donation drives, often initiate humanitarian actions in their communities and the like.
This story is about the humanity of the members of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Sarajevo Canton, and the police officers involved in the story say that the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Sarajevo Canton must be at the service of the elderly and infirm.
"While visiting the Blažuj settlement, we were met by 83-year-old Zametica Selima, originally from Tjentište, in the woods in front of her old house. As she says, Selima lives alone because she lost her husband in 2002 and her son two years ago. Almost no distant neighbors visit her, and she is unable to go to the store to buy basic necessities for herself. Therefore, we decided to provide Nana Selima with some basic necessities, especially during these times when there is a great need for groceries," reads the description of the photos of this humanitarian act on Facebook.
He adds that after receiving the modest help, Nana Selima started crying, not because of the groceries, but because someone remembered her and visited her.
In the end, as a sign of gratitude, they received walnuts from Selima.
