(Patria) - The Islamist militant group Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) says it has captured Homs, Syria's third-largest city, the BBC reported last night shortly before midnight.
In a video post on Telegram, HTS leader Abu Mohammed al-Golani says:
„We are living in the final moments of the liberation of the city of Homs... this historic event that will distinguish truth from falsehood.“
Commander of the Syrian rebels Hassan Abdul Ghani says that rebel forces have „completely liberated“ the central Syrian city of Homs.
Syrian Islamist rebel leader al-Golani says this is a „historic moment“ and calls on his fighters not to harm „those who lay down their weapons“, the BBC reported.
