Hrvić: Is the big and powerful EU afraid of competition from a small BiH?

The decision to ban the import of milk and dairy products affects Klas to a lesser extent. We will still have the paradox that we will not be able to export sirnica to EU countries with cheese originating from BiH. Although customers in the EU are eagerly awaiting it, the director of Klas, Rusmir Hrvić, wrote on his Facebook profile.

- This situation does not affect us financially that much, but it is a matter of procedure, fairness, and principle. Our state officials have explained that BiH has done everything the EU requested to enable the unimpeded export of milk and dairy products originating from BiH to the EU market.

We trust them completely, as they have already shown their principled approach and expertise. The standards required to ensure food quality and safety have been met. So why this import ban decision!? Is the big and powerful EU, or someone in it, afraid of competition from a small BiH?

It is precisely for these reasons that we support the state institutions of BiH, primarily the Ministry of Foreign Trade of BiH, and the domestic dairy industry, Hrvić states.
