Will Zahirović and Stevanović impress the selector with their performances for Željezničar and return to the national team

New players of FK Željezničar and former  A national team members of Bosnia and Herzegovina Adnan Zahirović and Miroslav Stevanović today visited the Football Association of Bosnia and Herzegovina (NS/FS BiH) where they were received by the Director of the Technical Department, Denijal Pirić, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria.

- Conversation and socializing with these young players who have gone through all our national team selections is a real refreshment and pleasure - stated Pirić. He added that the Association takes care of the national team players and it would be good if their visits were more frequent.

- Zahirović and Stevanović are quality players, they already have considerable experience and I believe that through their performances in Željezničar they will impose themselves on the selector and play for the A team again - said Pirić.

Zahirović and Stevanović confirm that the invitation from NS/FS BiH pleasantly surprised them and add that they are glad to be able to talk to someone who has insight into the work of the national team selections, exchange experiences, and see pictures from national team gatherings and remember some nice moments.

Performances in the domestic championship for both footballers are an opportunity to prove themselves in a new club and at the same time, through their play, earn the attention of selector Mehmed Baždarević and his coaching staff.

- I haven't been in the national team for a long time, I had a lot of setbacks in my career and my priority now is to prove myself in the club. I can say that I will try my best to show my quality on the field and everything that depends on me, and then a return to the national team is not excluded - says Stevanović.

- I am glad that I was part of the team that secured qualification for Brazil and, of course, I would like to return to the national team again. I hope that through my performances I will impose myself and show that my place is among the best. If we deserve it, I believe that both Miroslav and I will receive a call from the selector - said Zahirović.
