Will the story about establishing a contact point with EUROPOL come to an end?

The blockade in the work of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina has not yet been lifted, and no one can confirm whether the session will be held on July 23. The last three sessions were canceled, and issues that had no solution or agreement during the mandate are arriving on the agenda of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Now, laws and proposals that have been gathering dust in drawers for years have been placed on the agenda. Even the Draft Action Plan for the execution of judgments of the European Court of Human Rights in the cases "Zornić," "Sejdić and Finci," and "Pilav" is on the agenda.

Also, the Draft Decision on the allocation of space to the Ministry of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina for the purpose of establishing a joint contact point for cooperation with EUROPOL on the ground floor of the Friendship Building between Greece and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

This was a stumbling block for almost the entire mandate of this Council of Ministers; Bosnia and Herzegovina has not yet designated a national contact point (NCP) for cooperation with EUROPOL. The failure to establish the NCP has several serious consequences for BiH and its citizens. Undermining cooperation with EUROPOL will affect the security of BiH and its citizens, the EU warned.

But no one backed down from their demands. The wrangling lasted for two years, but even after a preliminary agreement in April 2018, the problem of accommodation has not yet been resolved.
