(Patria) - Some local media in Mostar have announced that the parties of the Trojka will begin negotiations in the coming days regarding a joint appearance in the 2024 Local Elections in Mostar, writes Politički.ba.
The SDP, Our Party, and People and Justice should, according to these sources, form joint lists for six city areas and a list for the City of Mostar.
However, those familiar with political developments in Mostar find it hard to believe that a common language and unified stance can be found among the local leaders of these three parties.
According to them, such a coalition would only be possible if a "ferman" arrived from Sarajevo with such content from Nikšić, Forte, and Konaković.
Namely, Arman Zalihić, president of the Mostar SDP, has been in a serious conflict with representatives of Our Party in Mostar since the last local elections.
Also, since the moment the SDP entered into a coalition with the SDA and HDZ and currently participates in the Government of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton and supports the SDA when voting in the Mostar City Council, political relations between Zalihić and the leader of NiP, Omer Hujdur, have cooled.
It is hard to believe that Omer Hujdur, the "Lion" as those who know him call him, will buckle and give in to any pressure.
The principled Hujdur cannot "forgive" the SDP for such behavior in the HNC and the City of Mostar and will not allow himself to be (in)directly drawn into a coalition with the SDA.
Especially since the SDP has long since (from the moment it entered power) stopped following him in the fight for the relocation of the Uborak landfill, which is one of the main tenets of Hujdur's political activity.
