As confirmed for the BiH news agency Patria (NAP) by Ana Kljaić - Balenović, Director of Communications and Public Relations for Croatia and BiH at Coca-Cola Adria, during the exhibition of the FIFA World Cup trophy which will be held in Sarajevo on March 7 and 8, only the Chairman of the Presidency of BiH Željko Komšić will have the right to hold this golden trophy in his hands.
- Komšić will receive an invitation to attend this event, but it is up to him whether he will accept it – said Kljaić-Balenović.
The Coca-Cola FIFA World Cup Trophy Tour 2014 began in September last year with an exhibition held in Brazil, the host country of the 2014 FIFA World Cup, and on its nine-month journey back to Brazil, the trophy will visit 89 countries around the world.
The FIFA World Cup Trophy Tour was first organized in 2006, when the trophy visited 29 countries worldwide during 140 days. In 2010, during a 211-day caravan inspired by Africa, the trophy stopped in 84 countries and delighted nearly a million fans, including 44 heads of state.
Coca-Cola and FIFA have committed to visiting all 209 member states of the World Football Association with this project by 2022. An interesting fact is that only the highest officials of FIFA, presidents of states, and representatives of the national team that wins the World Cup title in football can touch the trophy.
